The following table includes recommendations which have been developed or endorsed by various groups. Over the years the BC transfusion medicine community has developed several BC specific recommendations. This work has involved the leadership of the Transfusion Medicine Advisory Group (TMAG), specialized physician experts, the Technical Resource Group (TRG) and the Nursing Resource Group (NRG).

In addition, the National Advisory Committee for Blood and Blood Products (NAC) has developed recommendations, as well as endorsed recommendations of other national or international organizations, some of which are listed in the table below. This list is not comprehensive and NAC continues to develop new guidelines and recommendations, and endorse others. Users are encouraged to visit the NAC website.
