About Us
The BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office (PBCO) was established in 1997. The PBCO has responsibility to provide and coordinate provincial blood and blood product utilization programs and to manage specialized provincial resources. In collaboration with provincial stakeholders, the PBCO facilitates the advancement of transfusion medicine practices through unique initiatives that support the effective and appropriate use of blood and blood products across the province.
The Primary Immunodeficiency Disease Toolkit App (PIDD App) was developed by the PBCO in collaboration with a group of provincial immunologists and transfusion medicine physicians. The PIDD Working Group is working to establish provincial recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients with PIDD. The materials and resources developed by the PIDD Working Group have formed the basis of the Toolkit. The PIDD App contains tools to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with PIDD.
