By using the Transparent Blood Inventory application (herein "TBI"), you agree to the terms and conditions that govern the use of TBI. If at any time, these terms and conditions are no longer acceptable to you, you must immediately cease all use of TBI.

The information presented in TBI (the "Information") is provided by Canadian Blood Services and BC Health Authorities and therefore, PBCO makes no representation as to the correctness, quality, or reliability of the Information. PBCO disclaims representations, warranties, or conditions regarding accuracy, timeliness, sequence, completeness, non-infringement, quality, and fitness of any kind.

PBCO is not responsible in any manner for direct, indirect, special or consequential damages caused, arising out of your use of this TBI and/or any web browser. Any reliance you may place on the Information is at your sole risk.

PBCO reserves the right to delete, modify, or supplement the Information and other content of this TBI at any time for any reason.

PBCO does not warrant that TBI, www.bctbi.ca or the information contained herein will be uninterrupted or free from defects or errors, nor that TBI and its associated servers are free from computer viruses or other harmful content. No endorsement of any third party products, services or information is expressed or implied by any information, material or content referred to or included on, or linked from or to this TBI. Nothing contained in the Information should in any way be construed as being either official or unofficial policy of the PBCO.

The TBI has been specifically developed for use by the BC transfusion medicine community as well as the Ministry of Health.

Conditions of Use

In consideration of being granted personalized access to TBI, you agree:

1. That you are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Password and ensuring that it is used for yourself only;
2. To change your password at least every 42 days;
3. That if you suspect that your password has been compromised to change it immediately and notify the PBCO;
4. Not to write down your User Name and password, store it in a file on your computer or permit anyone to observe you entering your User Name and password;
5. That your use of the TBI will be monitored and recorded in an audit log and reviewed regularly.
6. To restrict access to the TBI to use only within BC and Yukon.
7. That use of the information contained on the Emergency Management dashboard is limited to blood shortage contingency purposes only.

You acknowledge that your Password is unique to you and that PBCO does not have access to your Password. PBCO is not responsible for unauthorized access to accounts online or losses that occur as a result of you voluntarily disclosing your username and passwords, or the careless or improper handling, storing or disclosure by you of this information.

For additional protection, after 5 unsuccessful login attempts a user will be locked out. Users are automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

PBCO may suspend or terminate User Access immediately without notice if it is determined that you have undertaken activities deemed to be inappropriate. This suspension will be for a period of time necessary to permit the thorough investigation of such suspended activity.
